Inferno

Inferno is an imaginative journey through landscapes of fire and ash. Acrobatic gestures and rhythms simulate the effects of flying, diving, and soaring through these worlds. After a calm middle section where we observe the beauty of these worlds from a high above, the inevitable return back down to earth is interrupted by a sudden opening of the heavens; for the first time, we see above the clouds, and salvation appears to be at hand. This is short-lived, however, and we quickly return to the fiery world of the opening.

This work was composed when the music world stopped turning during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and touched up later. As such, it awaits its world premiere.
